Wishtrend Haul + PH Post Office Experience

Wishtrend Haul + PH Post Office Experience

Happy weekend! I’ll be discussing my first experience to buy on a website from another country and mostly about the post office. My order was free because they gave me a voucher. I took the chance because I was curious about how it will go.

I also joined their sponsorship last April. I won a bottle of C20 Pure Vitamin C 21.5 Advanced Serum which arrived earlier. I didn’t expect to win but I’m really grateful. And oh, the one I got was manufactured on my birthday (April 8). šŸ‘Æ

Items received
1st parcel: Skinmiso Spot Reparing Serum, Skin&Lab Red Serum and Chica Y Chico samples
2nd Parcel: C20 Pure Vitamin C 21.5 Advanced Serum (review here), Red Serum & Chica Y Chico samples

The items were shipped on separate dates. šŸ™‚ I used different addresses. First parcel, I used an address in Makati City (a big and busy city). 2nd parcel was just delivered in a small town.

Post Office Experience
1st parcel: The tracking website was stuck with status May 17, Arrival at inward office of Exchange. I kept on checking the tracker daily. Dont depend on the tracking website alone. I emailed a PHLpost staff to give an accurate and updated status last thursday May 28. She replied on the same day.

My package was dispatched to the local post office on May 20. I didnt receive a notice card yet so I went to the post office last May 29. Unfortunately the packages with May 20 dispatch date were not yet sorted out. The staff said that he’ll just text me once the parcel is ready so I gave my contact number then just waited for it. I received a text in the afternoon of June 08. He said my parcel is ready for claiming. I claimed it on the next day (June 09).

How much did I pay for the customs fee?
1st parcel: PHP 250
2nd parcel: PHP 100

Summary
Overall, I’m satisfied with the whole order. It only took 3 business days for my order to processed and shipped. The items were in bubble wrap and received them in good condition.ā¤ļø

For my first parcel’s post office, Im satisfied and dissatisfied at the same time. Im satisfied because the staff kept his words and notified me thru text. The other staff asked me how much did I pay for it. I said I got it for free which is true. Dissatisfied because she didnt believe me and still depended on the parcel value which was $15. They charged Php 150 for the parcel and customs fee of Php 100, total Php 250. Oh well, I didnt insist it’s free and didnt show the order confirmation. I was about to get mad (deep inside) but I was scared I might offend her if I said something. I still need to practice saying what I really want to say. Next time I’ll really do that.

For my 2nd parcel’s post office, Im very satisfied because they only charged me 100 pesos. The staff asked me how much I bought it and I said I got it for free and I won the item. He didn’t charge for the parcel.

I understand it all depends on order processing, courier, customs and post office. I learned that a city’s size and how busy it is also have an effect to the parcel processing/releasing at your local post office. Patience is all you need.

Have you tried to order from Wishtrend? How was it? šŸ™‚ ā¤ļø
How about your post office experience? I want to hear from you especially the Filipinos out there. šŸ˜›

  1. It took me three months to get a parcel, the first half of the first month, there was a glitch in the website which deleted my order so that was fine but since I didn’t know how things really work, I ended up giving the wrong address, called the post office lots of times and it’s so hard to get through! I also kept on email-ing the ceo or coo of the brand and such. When she told me they were in the PH, that’s when I started calling the post office routinely.

Then a long story about how I ended up going to the post office (the jeep detoured entered intramuros and such then I got lost then I was able to go to SM Manila, and saw the post office and decided to drop by). People there directed me to different windows until I went to the basement, the people there gave me this huge logbook. They made me search for my package there and I was thinking “What the heck? It’s not computerized?” It wasn’t. I saw names of people I know, of even the president of the philippines there. Haha, wonder what he got.

Anyway, after that I didn’t see the tracking number and asked them again, turns out, they gave me the wrong logbook. So I saw my name got my package for 100.00php and said I won a giveaway and such šŸ™‚ They said that if I bought it by myself, they’ll automatically charge a minimum of 700! yikes.

    1. Oh, I sometimes encounter some glitches too. I just wait for a website to function well or error free before I place an order. I dont place an order when a website is slowly loading because I feel like there’s something wrong.

I was shocked too when I saw everything was done manually. Haha. I was thinking of calling the post office too but I have heard many online buyers could’t really get through. So I decided to tweet PHLpost instead and they gave me the email address of the person assigned for my concern (tracking parcels). Im glad she replied on the same day and gave accurate tracking. I agree, it’s really better to follow it up by yourself than just checking a tracking website when it comes to our post office.

I just laughed at my crazy experience once I got the parcels. It’s like a reward for all our efforts to follow up. Hahaha. Thanks for sharing! šŸ™‚

  2. Hi Diana! I have just come across your blog. I am in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, USA! I own an online children’s boutique. We ship worldwide and have had more issues in some countries then in other countries. It can be frustrating for us as an online store because our reputation is on the line and we have no control of the delivery once it leaves our office!

    Looking forward to reading more!

    Much love from Louisiana,
    Brandi

  4. Hi and congrats on this šŸ™‚ I haven’t bought anything from Wishtrend yet but I’ve thought about it a lot. I live in Norway so I am used to waiting a long time for the things I order because we can not get products from Korea locally… It might change soon with the popularity that it’s getting though! I would love to know what you think of this serum after you have used it for a while! šŸ™‚

      1. Oh thank you very much! Theres a lot of posts to keep track off on your page not that I am complaining! Love to read about skincare so I am really happy to have found your blog! šŸ™‚
