Review + Tips: LUSH Fresh Farmacy Cleanser

Happy weekend readers! I hope you’re up for another skincare review. This is an updated version. I really loved this cleanser 4 years ago. My skin got used to it so I took a break. Such a long break. πŸ˜… My skin was going through a crazy period again. I decided to give it another try. Let’s find out if it still works on my skin. 😊

What is it:
Farmaceutical assistance for sensitive and troubled skin. Soothing calamine cleanser. Feel like you have the world’s most sensitive skin? Allow us to prescribe you a bar of Fresh Farmacy, our calamine-based cleansing bar. It contains chamomile extract to calm, rose and lavender to soothe dry patches and tea tree to clear up any blemishes.

Calamine Powder, Water, Chamomile Decoction, Elderflower Decoction, Rapeseed Oil, Glycerine, Coconut Oil, Sorbitol, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Stearate, Fragrance, Lavender Oil, Chamomile Blue Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Rose Absolute, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Limonene, Linalool

Staff said: Some people experience initial breakouts when it’s their first time using this
When at the store: Ask the SA to cut it into squares/cubes. This soap melts easily.
Storage: Use a soap dish with holes to let the water drip out. Keep the rest in a dry container with top cover or plastic bag
Toner: Use a hydrating toner because this can give your skin tight feeling.
As spot treatment: Wet/moisten a cotton bud. Glide it on the soap and apply directly on blemishes

– Reasonably priced
– Always available in stores and online
– Dual function
– Paraben free
– Lathers well
– Easy to rinse
– Helps to smoothen skin
– Tones down the redness of blemishes
– Dried up/ripen some of my pimples after one use as cleanser & spot treatment
– Saw improvements for the whole face after one week

– Melts easily
– Can be drying
– Has fragrance and 3 comedogenic ingredients (Coconut Oil, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate & Sodium Chloride) that can irritate others’ skin

Comedogenic ingredients has “tendency” to block pores accdg to a Reddit post. It will depend on your skin’s reaction. Some people are okay with them and others react differently.

I have a cleanser and spot treatment in one soap. 100 grams is Php395 ($8). I think it’s reasonably priced. We usually get 120 grams and that’s 495 pesos. We dont want the staff to have a hard time getting the exact weight.😊 You can tell them if you want 100 grams only.

This is an effective cleanser and spot treatment for me. It helps to minimize and dry up pimples quickly.😊 It doesnt matter if blemishes are big or small. Most of them are gone in as early as 3 days.☺️ I don’t frequently visit my derma’s clinic anymore to get them injected unlike before. This is the only cleanser that dries up my acne and improves/smoothens overall skin texture😊❀️ This would fit in the category if I could label any “holy grail” skincare product. πŸ‘―

  1. I used to work for Lush!
I love Fresh Farmacy! If you want something similar that is a little less drying, try 9 to 5!
Fresh Farmacy is like a soap for your face, so it is going to be like a squeaky clean feel!

  2. I love this type of posts!! Especially that my skin expose to different irritants and then I have to use a special care while it’s sensitive then I go back to normal care when it’s fine!
However, lush stores isn’t available nearby by I have to drive 3 hours to get things from them or order it online. Great post xx

  3. […] 2. CLEANSER: LUSH Fresh Farmacy This is my life saver! I haven’t raved enough for this solid facial cleanser. It lathers up pretty well. Not everyone likes its scent but I love it. It’s therapeutic for me & reminds me of a spa. It’s drying for me because of the calamine powder but it’s great for calming the skin and healing acne. I use hydrating products after this.
