Hello readers! This is my first time to do a Top 5 post. I’ve tried a lot of spot treatments for acne. I guess I can now sort them out and list the products that works best on my skin. These products can eliminate acne within a week based on my experience. Well of course the cystic ones would take longer since they are under the skin. I’ve included the prices so you can select which one fits your budget.

Hello again! I just got home from school. Gosh I hate my 6 to 9PM class. -____- I’m going to post for 3 straight days. Some of you may find it annoying. I have to do it because I won’t be able to post anything for the next 2 weeks. I have to finish our group and individual reports. 😦 It’s gonna be our midterm exams as well at the end of January. Woah, it’s really a stressful school year for me though I’m just a second year college student. @____@
In my previous posts and including this one, they’re all about topical acne treatments~
I really wanted to buy Panoxyl’s Acne Gel 10% again because it’s so effective for drying up pimples. I searched at different Mercury Drug Store branches but I couldn’t find any. So I wrote of PanOxyl’s facebook wall and asked where could I find it?
Panoxyl messaged me. Here’s their reply:
Hello Diana, the gel format has been discontinued as a result of a global corporate decision to focus on PanOxyl Cream. PanOxyl Cream also contains benzoyl peroxide (in 4% concentration) as its active ingredient like the gels. This product will be available very soon in leading drugstores near you.
I was really sad that it’s discontinued! But, it won’t hurt to try the new one. 🙂
The packaging isn’t the same with the gels. It’s in a plastic tube. It comes in one size only. I bought it around PHP230. The price is still expensive for me. 😛
I’m used to their 10% acne gel. I thought 4% concentration wasn’t enough. I didn’t feel any stinging sensation when I applied it. Yaaay for that! Since it’s in a plastic tube, it’s easier for the product to come out and you’re in control of the amount. It’s not that strong so it doesn’t cause darker spots…. just redness and lighter spots. It dries up small pimples effectively like 3 to 4 days. 🙂 The downside of this is it’s slow in drying cystic pimples.
I’m sad and at the same time afraid to tell everyone…. I think my skin got used/immune to my regimen.. Lush Fresh Farmacy, Celeteque toner and products with snail slime. Snail products prevented my breakouts before but now…. 😦
Or is it just my wrong diet and stress? I think those are the main causes of my recent breakout. 😦
This is my first ever haul post. I bought a lot of products this month. Most of them are skincare products. Clear and acne free skin is the key to beautiful makeup.
So here they are~
Skincare products (from left to right): Panoxyl 4% Benzoyl Peroxide, Dermstrata Erythromycin Solution, Dermstrata Centella Gel, Snoe White Calamansi Mask, Snoe Star Night Star Bright Perfecting Toner, Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream
They are anti-acne and some have whitening ingredients too.
I’ll review all the skincare products soon. I have to try each one of them for a long time since skincare products takes a lot of time to see some effects.
I’ll review the lip stain tomorrow. 🙂
I’m using 2 zit zappers: Eskinol Dermaclear-C Overnight Pimple Gel & PanOxyl Acnegel 10%
I’ll share my thoughts first on Eskinol Dermaclear-C Overnight Pimple Gel. Here are the pros and cons;
- very affordable. I think it’s less than 100 pesos
- clear gel
- doesn’t dry the skin
- a little amount goes a long way
- lasts for monthsss
- It stings
- Gives burning sensation
- Doesn’t dry pimples overnight. It dries pimple after 2 to 7 days depending on how big it is.
- Leaves super dark spot cause it burns
Next up is PanOxyl Acnegel 10%
- I can feel light stinging only unlike with Eskinol’s Pimple Gel
- A little amount goes a long way
- This is the only thing that cleared my breakouts on the forehead
- If the pimple is small, it will be dried asap (not overnight)
- The packaging is really convenient. All the gel will surely be used. 😉
- Dries up pimple 2 to 5 days. If it’s big it will take longer.
- It’s expensive. The 10 grams is 207 pesos at Mercury Drug Store
- Leaves a dark patch where you applied it but it will come off in a few days.
- Gives flaky skin around the pimple
- Leaves super dark spot too
So here are my zit zappers. I’m happy with them though I wrote a lot of cons. There’s no such thing as overnight treatment unless you’ll undergo a special acne treatment when you visit a dermatologist.
If you’ve tried these products, what are your experiences while using them?
If no, what’s your zit zapper? Comment and share below. 🙂
