Review: MINISO Lemon & Aloe Cleansing Wipes

You guys know that I have tried Mumuso’s wipes before. All these shops are popping up. I hopped in the bandwagon again.๐Ÿ˜… This is my intro review for Miniso. I roamed around and the first thing I noticed was their lemon cleansing wipes. It’s so big and I love products with lemon extracts. The aloe variant was just an impulse buy.

– Affordable, 99 pesos for 30 sheets
– Each sheet is in a plastic pack
– No breakouts/contact dermatitis
– Great for traveling

– Contains citric acid

– Affordable, 99 pesos
– 80 sheets
– With hard plastic seal
– Thick sheets
– Sheets are bigger compared to others
– Moist enough to remove makeup
– Removes all my makeup (bb cream, concealer and powder foundation)
– No breakouts/contact dermatitis

– Contains citric acid

As you can see from the pros and cons, I prefer the Lemon Cleansing Wipes. Great price for the amount of sheets. The hard plastic seal will keep them moist.ย It completely removed my makeup. Aloe variant is more for freshening up. Carry it in your bag and/or wallet. They’re individually packed so it’s ideal for traveling. It wont take up much space in your bag.

I’m liking Miniso’s big paper bag for every purchase. It’s giving me Uniqlo and Muji vibes. Ooh fancy!๐Ÿ˜› I’ll try more of their products soon. I’m on the waitlist for their bestselling Rose Toner. That one is hyped here in Manila. Let’s see if it will meet my standards.

What do you recommend from this brand?โ˜บ

Job Hunting in Manila: Experience, Thoughts & FOMO

I was advised to just accept any job but I want something that’s related to my course or at least my hobby/interest.

I finally got a job after 2 months. Welp, it should’ve been 3 weeks only if I didn’t decline 2 job offers. Yes I have FOMO, fear of missing out. I applied at different companies. So once a company in my dream list have an opening & invites me for initial interview, I would say, “it’s now or never”. Then decline the pending job offer. I know that’s WRONG. I would prioritize them and reschedule my other interviews. Please dont do that. I was wrong.

These are the things I learned from my job hunting:

1. You need a valid ID to get visitor’s pass
For interviews, you need to present a valid ID to get a visitor’s pass before you can go to the company’s office. You might want a Postal ID. It’s the quickest & takes 10-15 working days to deliver after your application date. You need to present Barangay Clearance (original copy) and birth certificate (photocopy). Cedula is needed in order to get Barangay Clearance. You can avail both on the same day.

2. Make the best resume & be yourself
I followed the trend of having a one-page resume. It was okay for some companies but it’s much better if you include all your skills (technical and non-technical) kahit mag 3-page resume ka pa. Include short explanations. Just be sure that you’re not lying and you really have a background/proficient in that skill because you’ll explain them during interviews.

3. Research about the company
You need to research about the company too. Interviewers like it when applicants know their company. It means you’re really interested to be in their organization. You’re not just there for the sake of getting a job.

4. Be realistic. Dont get upset if you dont get selected/hired because there’s something better for you.
I can see the look in people’s eyes when they dont meet the passing grade for entrance exams or they dont get hired. I’ve failed in life many times already. I dont get upset anymore. Parang wala lang. Be grateful when they call you back and it’s still okay if they dont. Just think that you’re meant for something else.

5. Interviews can take 15 minutes to 3 hours
There are companies that have high volume of applicants. You’ll have an initial interview then they’ll call/text you back for the schedule of final interview. I also had both initial and final interviews on the same day… from HR (11am) and back at 2pm for the hiring manager. I prefer that because it saves time. I had conference interviews too (2 interviewers at the same time).

6. Call the company first if they allow walk-in applicants
Some companies dont allow walk-in applicants. I usually have scheduled interviews. I emailed them first, the customer service said they allow walk-in applicants. So I tried to go to their office and turned out they dont allow that which was weird. Sabi nila pwede. Ayun, I just dropped off my resume with cover letter.

7. Same time and date of interviews? Ask them if you can reschedule it
This happened to me a lot. I had to choose the company which I will resched kasi there are chances that interviewers wont allow that. Ask both companies and decide where you will go.

8. Declining a job offer?
Let’s say you just got hired and another company calls you back for a job offer. It’s better to talk to them on the phone and explain to them that you’re already hired. Or explain to them that you’re still wanting a position that’s for your course. Dont forget to thank them for the opportunity & for giving their time.

9. Choose the job location WISELY
There are people who’ll go to Manila to look for a job. If it’s your dream and you think it’s worth it, then go ahead. But dont forget to be realistic and try to consider the costs of buying/renting a house plus the commuting and food expenses. It’s better if the office is near your house… unless the company relocated you. Tipid pa sa time at effort. Ako naman I want to work in the province but we don’t have a house there… Maybe in the future na lang. ๐Ÿ™‚

I had so much fun from this experience. It’s something that we can learn from no matter what your age is. What are your experiences while looking for a job? Share them below.

Liebster Award #4

I was nominated by Alluring Princess. Thank you so much for nominating me. It means a lot and I really enjoy answering questions from bloggers. Don’t forget to visit her blog,ย Click the link to be redirected. ๐Ÿ™‚

What are these Liebster awards?
Liebster Award is a new-comer award given by bloggers to bloggers, that creates a great platform for new blogs to be discovered and build communications. The best thing about this award is, it creates a lot of encouragement and support within our blogging community.

What are the Liebster Award Rules?

By accepting this award I am committing to the following:

  1. Thank and Tag the person nominated you.
  2. Answer 11 questions asked by your nominator.
  3. Nominate 11 bloggers.
  4. Create 11 questions for your 11 chosen bloggers.
  5. Notify them so through social media.

List of her questions and my answers:

  • What is that one problem you face when you go shopping for dresses?
It’s either too short or too long. I’m short and a bit conservative. The bottom part of the dresses nowadays are too short even for my height. I can’t move freely.
  • Tell me something that portrays an โ€˜adorable childishโ€™ quality in you.
I make weird faces and I don’t think it’s adorable, honestly. Hahaha.
  • Whatโ€™d you loved the most in your teen-life?
In my teens, we used to just go to school. Basically our only problems were exams, projects and homework. I’m 21 now and realized school’s just a small part of our lives. I did not know what the “real life and real world” were like.
  • What is that one theme or message that you loved the most of all the books youโ€™ve read so far?
I don’t read books. Oops. I’m more of a blog reader. ๐Ÿ™‚ Anything that’s inspirational and gives motivation.
  • Your views on my blog โ€“ ALLURING PRINCESS. (Truth please!)
Omg. It’s so organized! I like your theme’s color combination and it’s eye-friendly/easy to read. ๐Ÿ™‚
  • What does life mean to you?
This kind of short question looks easy to answer…. It’s really difficult to answer. Huhu. Life means to me that we all have to do what makes us genuinely happy as long as you’re helping your family, you’re not harming anyone and you’re not doing anything illegal. ๐Ÿ™‚
  • If you were a celebrity, would you whole-heartedly accept criticisms? What would you do to impress your fans?
Two things you love and hate in girls.
If I were a celebrity I’d accept criticisms, only if they’re constructive. I won’t mind the others after all not everyone will like me. I think it’s a chore to impress anyone. That will control me from being myself. If I had fans, I’d just spend a day with them every month.
  • What is that one thing that you would never sacrifice for someone?
That’s a tough question. Maybe, giving up my dreams?
  • What does your blog mean to you?
Oh it means a LOT! I can talk freely about my obsession on skin care. I’m happy to help other people in deciding if they’re going to try a product or not. I have no one talk to about it in real life. It’s like a diary to me but in public version. Hahaha.
  • Your message for the blogosphere.
Not everyone takes blogging seriously but don’t mind them. If you like to blog about anything, just do it! Like what Shia LaBeouf said. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m going to break the rules. Ooops. I nominate anyone who wants to do this tag.

  1. What do you like most about blogging?
  2. Do you have any holy grail skin care product?
  3. How about holy grail makeup?
  4. One thing you’re afraid to do but you still want to do it anyway?
  5. Name some of your favorite Youtubers (beauty and non-beauty related)
  6. What’s the #1 in your New Year’s Resolution list?
  7. Tell us about your “best day ever”
  8. Your all time favorite food
  9. Your favorite song right now
  10. What/who inspires you to do your thing?
  11. Please share a motivational message

I had fun answering them.:) I’m asking random questions. Again, I nominate anyone who wants to do this tag. Feel free to do it. Just be sure to comment back the link of your post so I can read all of your answers! ๐Ÿ™‚
