Affordable Solutions for Chest & Back Acne/Bacne

Affordable Solutions for Chest & Back Acne/Bacne

I’ve been asked so many times about back acne. Most of them were teens so I wanted this list to feature affordable products. I still get bacne, one or two blemishes when it’s the time of the month. Here’s a list to help you reduce them while lightening the spots.

Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap

images-1I always recommend this because it’s effective. I personally use this and I like it. It dries up zits quickly and prevents dark spots. Hyperpigmentation is another problem with chest and back acne. Why not solve two problems at the same time, right? Look for a product with dual-function to get your money’s worth. You can get it for as low as 50 pesos depending on the weight and set quantity.

Belo Tranexamic Kojic Soap

images-2Another kojic-based soap but this time it has Tranexamic Acid. It’s stronger compared to Kojie San in my opinion. It also has lactic and salicylic acid. It has dual function too; treats and whitens. Belo is one of the most famous clinics in the Philippines. Luckily, we dont have to get it in their clinic. It’s sold in supermarkets and drugstores too. It’s 60 pesos per bar.

Snoe Shoozit Spray Me From Behind

It fights body blemishes with Anti-Acne PUREFIX-DC and pore-clearing Salicylic Acid. These powerful antibacterial agents purify skin from head-to-toe for an acne-fighting advantage wherever you need it. It is gentle enough for daily use. It’s 349 pesos for 100ml.

DIY Salicylic & Tea Tree Spray

If you’re masipag, you can make your own bacne spray. Get a spray bottle and pure salicylic acid at the drugstore. Rhea is famous for that. There’s below 20 pesos, 40 pesos depending on the size. Affordable, isn’t it? They have 10% salicylic acid. I wont recommend using it alone since it’s strong. Mix it with water and estimate how concetrated you’d like it to be. Dont forget to do a patch test first.

A mild option is tea tree spray. I recommend Human Nature’s Tea Tree Heritage Oil. It’s 295 pesos for 30ml. Mix it with water. You can use the oil alone if someone can apply it for you…. Cause it’s quite difficult to reach our back area.

You can also try apple cider vinegar spray. Mix it with water because it’s strong too. ACV smells quite funky so consider that if you’re sensitive to scents. The most raved ACV of Bragg’s is available in Healthy Options for 230 pesos.

I hope this will be helpful to someone out there. I know you guys are searching this topic. I can see it in my stats. Haha. What’s your favorite anti-acne treatment? We’d like to know. 😉

Review: Belo Kojic + Tranexamic Acid Intensive Whitening Bar

Review: Belo Kojic + Tranexamic Acid Intensive Whitening Bar

Trying more local/Philippine brands are in my New Year’s Resolution for 2016. It’s almost half of the year and this is the first local brand I’ve used. We can tell that I’m failing and I’m not good at new year’s resolutions. Haha!

Anyway, I bought this because it has salicylic acid for acne unlike other whitening soaps. I got it for my dark spots too. Kojic soap dries my bacne (back acne) before so I gave this a shot.

BELO’s most intensive whitening bar yet that boasts of the unique combination of today’s two most powerful whitening actives.

Tranexamic Acid is a peptide proven to inhibit inflammation and melanin formation. It is ideal for stubborn dark spots that do not respond to other skin lightening ingredients.

Other information & Ingredients:

20160328_204058-1

Pros:
-Affordable, Php 59 ($1.25)
-Has 4 exfoliating ingredients (Salicylic, Lactic, Kojic and Tranexamic) compared to other brands
-No peeling/micropeeling
-More on brightening, not whitening
-Has salicylic and lactic acid for acne
-Helps to dry my pimples even cystic acne

Cons:
-Melts easily
-Stings the eye, avoid that area
-Too harsh if used daily on the face because of its exfoliating ingredients
-Triggered my dermatitis

It quicky dries up blemishes. Even my cystic acne doesn’t last for a week. As for whitening, I didnt see any drastic change on my dark spots because they are deep. It’s more of brightening effect that gives you glowing skin.

Its active ingredients are 4 types of acid. That’s quite strong. This is definitely an exfoliating bar. Do a patch test first if you have sensitive skin. Be sure to apply moisturizer after and lotion for the body. Apply sunblock if you’re going out.

I suggest using it only on the area where there’s a blemish or where you want to whiten. I highly recommend this for drying blemishes especially bacne.

Skin Care Products for Sweat Acne

Skin Care Products for Sweat Acne

Aside from hormonal reasons, sweating breaks me out. Yes, lahat na lang ata. I noticed that when I was still attending zumba classes. Maybe it’s a sign of detoxing.

Aside from diet and healthy food, here’s a post-workout routine. Some products that can help to cleanse oily skin.

Cleanser:
THE BODY SHOP Tea Tree Cool & Creamy
Choose a non-drying face wash as the moisturizer is alcohol-based. Try The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash. This product doesn’t make skin tight and dry. They anti-acne ingredients like tea tree and salicylic acid.

Toner:
CELETEQUE Hydration Alcohol Free Toner
This alone hydrates my skin like a serum. My skin feels like it doesnt need a moisturizer after using this. It has witch hazel, a well-known anti acne ingredient. Toners are meant to cleanse and give hydration to the skin. Always look for these qualities when buying. You CANNOT choose one. You need both cleansing and hydrating.

Moisturizer:
VMV HYPOALLERGENICS Id Monolaurin Gel
This is alcohol-based derived from coconut. I used it after zumba classes. It can be used on the face or body. I used to apply it on my face and chest. It has thin gel consistency. I can feel that it cleanses the dirt caused by sweat. It’s cooling and refreshing. A great treat after a workout. You can use it too if you have bacne (back acne).

I know the limit for washing the face is twice a day. Depending on your activities, you can wash it up to three (3) times if you were very sweaty.

Example: I walked for 30 minutes to get home. I arrived at 12 noon and was so sweaty like it’s dripping. Yes, I’m too sweaty because I drink lots of water. I’ll do my skin care routine then adjust the time when I’m going to wash at night.
