K-Skin Care Wish List

I’m still into korean skin care although I’m not updated anymore. I want to follow the trends today but my mind says no. I pay so much attention to ingredients. So I dont buy a new product if it has something that I do not like.

I came up with another list. I think the products mentioned here have met my standards. I want to try them when my skin’s already used to my current routine.

Tony Moly Intense Repair Live Snail AmpouleI’m eyeing on this since I got into k-beauty. Tony Moly’s Intense Repair Snail Essence and Cream healed my acne before. I have high hopes for this ampoule since it has the highest concentration (92%) from the line. I asked a filipina blogger and she said it made her skin a little oily…. I’ll just try this when I’m older. That’s the time our skin is less oily. I saw its CosDNA analysis and I’m still skeptical to try it.

Skin1004 Centella Asiatica

Centella Asiatica is the only ingredient in this ampoule. It’s around $24 for 100ml. It’s huge and will last for months! I’ve read reviews on this and most bloggers say it didnt do anything. Centella Asiatica is mild and natural anti-inflammatory. It think it’s a great choice for a minimalist routine.

Skin79 Snail Nutrition Ampoule
This has more natural ingredients and less oils compared to Tony Moly’s ampoule. I think it’ll be quite sticky because of that. Its concentration is 93%. I also have high expectations for this in brightening, repairing and anti-aging. I’ll use this too when I’m less oily. CosDNA analysis

Tony Moly The Chok Chok Green Tea EssenceThis is from TM’s latest line. The name made me smile. Haha. What’s chok chok btw? Hehe. I think it’s safe to use since there’s no irritant. That’s surprising. Thanks to a kind person for sharing it. CosDNA analysis

Skin79 Golden Snail Intensive Essence

This has 66% concentration. It looks like it has few ingredients. Their website is in korean and I tried to Google translate it. I think it isnt accurate. I still have to wait for their email about the english translation.

These have less irritants compared to other moisturizers. I hope this will help you out too. Click on the analysis to check them.

I still havent found cleansers and masks that could beat the products in my routine. I need recommendations. Haha.

Perfume Wish List

I’ve been a subscriber of Charles Gross on Youtube for a couple of months now. He’s living for perfumes. He loves to read magazines and gives his opinions on the brands and products. Most of the magazines he reads have perfume samples. There’s a folded section where you can smell the scent.

I was never into perfume but I think it’ll change soon. My sister loves perfumes. Me and my sister went to a coffee shop for breakfast. I got bored and chose ELLE from the rack while waiting for the rest of our orders. I was sipping a cup of coffee while going through the pages. That’s “bougie”. Haha.

There are perfume samples in that edition and oh my glob, I’ve never smelled anything similar to those scents. So they were added on my wish list.

I dislike fruity and sweet scents. I think I’m allergic to those. I had the worst colds when I smelled a fruity room spray. Most of the products mentioned above are gender-neutral in my opinion…. Although they’re in Women’s collection. I love the fresh smell like I just got out of the shower. It’s the only scent that do not cause me to sneeze.

If you can recommend other perfumes, please feel free share them.

Wish List: Makeup Edition

I browsed my wish list and most of the products are skin care. I guess I’m obsessed. I have other items on my list aside from that. I suck at many things including makeup. I depend on bloggers and youtubers especially for concealers. I like to see full coverage routine on people who have acne prone skin. They justify if a product gives medium to full coverage.😊

BB Cream

HOLIKA HOLIKA Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream – approx. P680
This doesn’t provide coverage. I’m planning to use this as my base since it’s feels light on the skin. BB cream gives dewy and glowing look even if it has matte finish. I need it underneath my concealer & foundation to have hint of glow. I have oily skin so I don’t like to overdo it.

CELETEQUE Brightening Multi-Benefit BB Cream – P325
I love Celeteque’s alcohol-free toner. I think it wouldn’t hurt to try their bb cream. It’s very affordable. I think you can get this at all department stores. It’s only in one shade though. I hope it’ll suit my skin tone.

Powder Foundation

ELLANA MINERALS Radiant Concealer & Foundation – P499
I’ve never tried mineral makeup before. Ellana is a local brand. It sounds promising because of its dual function. I’m assuming that it will add more coverage. This is specifically for warm tone with dark spots/blemishes. Each tub weighs 6g. It’s quite expensive for me but I’m trying to look for makeup with few ingredients.

Concealer

Pot/cream concealers usually give medium to full coverage while liquid & stick concealer usually give light to medium coverage.

NYX Concealer Jar – P360
I prefer to use cream/pot concealers because I need medium to full coverage for my dark spots. A blogger said this can be a dupe for MAC’s concealer aside from my all time favorite Tony Moly pot concealer.

KRYOLAN Dermacolor Camouflage Creme Trio Set – $23.30
Em Ford (mypaleskin on youtube) used this a lot in her videos when she still had breakouts. I’m surprised that it really covers her blemishes. This is also Wayne Goss’ best concealer for 2015. I wanted to get the full size pot but I doubt I’ll get my perfect shade. It’s freaking expensive if I get 2 pots. I thought a palette is great so I can mix colors to get my shade. Or I could just get the refills and look for a container. The refill is $5. 😛

COLLECTION Lasting Perfection Concealer – P299
Em Ford also used this a lot in her videos before she discovered Kryolan. It’s very affordable and the coverage is good too. I’ve seen a blogger’s swatch and it covers her dark spots. That convinced me.

INGLOT Cream Concealer – P895
I passed by Inglot’s shop before. I’ve never heard of it. I searched the brand and looked for their concealers. I found a swatch where this concealer can almost cover a tattoo. It’s 10ml for 895 pesos. I think it’s a good deal. They have wide shade selection to choose from.

PINK SUGAR Our Lil’ Secret Concealer – P299
Another local brand and I assume it’s promising. A lot of pinay bloggers are raving about this so it must be really good. One blogger said it sets like cement…. Cement, sounds good to my oily skin. I have to try it at their counter to know if I wont have a hard time applying it.

I dont think too much about lips and brows. I can use anything for them. This wish list is full of face products. I focus on coverage because I have A LOT of dark spots. I wish I could go out without makeup but unfortunately I can’t. I would go out bare faced if our society isn’t messed up.

Wish List: Products for Oily & Acne-Prone Skin

Hi readers! I’m feeling festive since September! I’ve listed products that I’m very interested to try out. I’ll probably get them real soon. I’m in a “haul ban” because I bought a lot of stuff these past few months. I’m most interested in these products. I still have a long list. I just dont want to have a long post.

Most products mentioned below are specifically for oily and acne prone skin. I categorized them according to their use; cleanser, moisturizer, mask, spot treatment and sunscreen. The prices are included too in case you’re interested. 🙂

CLEANSERS

THE BODY SHOP Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash – P395
I saw this in their store last Christmas season when I got the tea tree facial wash and toner. I searched for reviews on it. Bloggers say that it really does not dry out their skin / no tight feeling.

SNOE Shoo-zit! Wash Away Those Zits Deep Cleansing Acne Wash – P349
I want to try this for SO long. It has few ingredients but some of them are antibacterial for acne like honey, salicylic acid, mulberry and Purefix. There are other cleansers that have few ingredients too but are useless and do not even clean the skin.

 MOISTURIZERS

LUSH Enzymion – approx. P1,200
I watched Lush hauls and their SAs recommended Enzymion for Youtubers who have oily skin. From the reviews, this cream mattifies the skin. It has cocoa butter, avocado oil and evening primrose oil. Hmmmm, I’m not sure about that. We’ll see if ever a generous SA will give me a sample.

LUSH Full of Grace serum bar – £8.25 (approx. P586.46)
A serum in a solid form? This is such an innovative idea in my opinion. It has 2 butters which aren’t really for oily skin but I still want to try it. Why? because it has calamine powder. Calamine powder is the main ingredient in my holy grail cleanser. Maybe I should get this when I’m older.. older meaning less oily skin. 😉 This is not available in the Philippines. I’ll order from the U.K. website if ever since they have cheaper price compared to our neighbor countries.

LUSH Vanishing Cream – approx. P1,500
They claim that this is their lightest moisturizer. Most youtubers who have oily skin love it. They said it sinks in quickly. It has witch hazel and rose water to calm the skin. But it has butter and oils just like Enzymion, Full of Grace and other Lush moisturizers. I hope I’ll get a sample one day before I can finally decide to get a full size pot.

BURT’S BEES Acne Solutions Daily Moisturizing Lotion – P1,450
I was randomly browsing an online shop and saw this. It has salicylic acid, willow bark extract and witch hazel. Those 3 ingredients are tempting me. There are also other ingredients that I’m not familiar with so I’m still skeptical to get a full size bottle. Why are the stores in the Philippines rarely give out samples? 😦

MARIO BADESCU Drying Mask – P1,145
I was looking for other face masks with calamine since I can’t get my hands on Lush’s Catastrophe Cosmetic fresh face mask. This one has few ingredients and it has what I’m looking for! It’s only 50g though.

SPOT TREATMENT

SNOE Shoo-zit! Dip & Dry Acne Drying Lotion – P449
This is like your Etude House and Mario Badescu spot treatment. The only difference is its affordability. You’ll get the same 20ml. Dip a cotton bud and gently apply it on the spots.

SUNSCREEN

VMV Hypoallergenics Armada Face Cover 30 – P815
My skin is so thin especially on the face. I get dark spots easily even if I dont touch blemishes. I have never used a sunscreen in my life aside from makeup’s spf. I know it’s bad. I’m skeptical to use one. My skin is not used to creams and  it can only handle up to spf 30. Based on the reviews, this VMV product doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.

My LUSH Cosmetics Wish List

I was browsing Lush’s website for a few days so I went to their store last tuesday. I thought I should make a wish list for this brand. I hope you’ll enjoy this and comment your opinion especially those who have already tried these goodies. 🙂

1. Cosmetic Warrior
It has lots of anti acne ingredients and no irritants. My mission when I went to their store was to buy this mask. Unfortunately Lush in our country doesnt have a lab/factory to make their fresh masks. 💔 I ended up buying my first love, Fresh Farmacy. It makes me a little sad that I live here. Now I want to work abroad. 😂 UK, EU, US, Canada, Japan, Singapore and Korea carry this mask. I’ll probably ask my aunt & brother to get this for me when they return from KR, SG & Japan this year and next year. It doesnt have any preservatives so it expires quickly. Aunt and bro, please buy this on the day before your flight to make sure it’s fresh. 😭✌🏻️

2. Mask of Magnaminty
They recommended this to me instead. I heard lots of positive feedbacks on this one too. I’m not familiar with its ingredients. I’ll get the 120-gram tub first to test if it will irritate my skin.

3. Eau Roma Water
I know there are lots of rose water toners out there. But this one from lush has few ingredients. I used to think toners are just for removing excess dirt. And later found out toners also prep the skin for moisture. Can be used as toner or mist.

4. Herbalism
Welp, this is one of the few cleansers in the market with few ingredients. It’s specifically for oily and blemish prone skin. It doesnt dry out the skin according to reviewers. That’s a plus for me because my cleansers are usually drying.

5. Tea Tree Water
This product focuses on tea tree. It can also be used as a toner or mist through out the day. It’s really affordable too. What’s holding me back in buying this is its greasy feel according to some reviewers. I have to take a look on its sample bottle when I return to their store and see if it’s really greasy.
