Review: Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer in 03 – 2017 Edition

Im back with a makeup review and it’s about my current favorite concealer. I got 03 Natural Beige. I usually pick natural beige but surprisingly this one’s dark on me. Read more to find out below what I like about it and how I can compare it to the original version.

Description from Althea’s website:
It gets fixed on the skin smoothly and naturally covers the skin flaws without cakiness on the next step of makeup. The soft liquid texture covers broad and light blemishes and the tip type applicator covers even tiny areas on the face. The three colors can cover skin flaws naturally according to one’s own skin tone.

Pros:

  • Affordable
  • Fragrance-free
  • Good for highlighting
  • Its finish is in between matte and dewy
  • Lightweight
  • Doesn’t accentuate pores
  • Covers redness really well
  • Covers most of my dark spots
  • Did not cause breakouts
  • Did not trigger my contact dermatitis

Cons:

  • Only available in few shades
  • No ingredients list on the packaging
  • Wears off easily for someone who sweats a lot like me
  • Can get cakey
  • Only 5 grams. Weight is obviously less than the original
  • Gives white cast for flash photography

Neutral:

  • Sets easily

Talking about the price, it’s very affordable. I got it on sale for 180 pesos only on Althea. The regular price is 220 pesos. I noticed that it doesn’t have a strong scent. I’m guessing it’s fragrance-free since it smells like the other foundations and concealers I’ve used before. It gives white cast and they made it for highlighting and contouring. The finish is in between matte and dewy. It just looks a bit like skin.

It has light to medium coverage in my opinion. It’s lightweight and can completely cover redness and dark circles. This could be full coverage if that’s just your concern. Most of my spots are covered too. For other spots, I have to go back for a second layer. It did not cause breakouts and did not give me redness and itch. That’s good news for us with sensitive skin.

It does wear off easily if used alone. It sets quickly so you should apply it by areas instead of going on full face. It would be difficult to retouch or blend once it’s set. It can also get cakey if you dont blend it well. I like this one better than the original when it comes to texture and light feeling. It oxidizes on me and yes, I’m acidic. It’s ideal for day time and not for flash photography.

The original version is better when it comes to coverage and longevity. I doubt that they will go back to it because the old one almost had the same thickness as their Full Cover BB Cream.

Unboxing: Althea Angels Welcome Gift + Haul

Unboxing: Althea Angels Welcome Gift + Haul

In my past haul, I ordered from Althea and shared my shopping experience. If you haven’t heard of them, they’re selling korean cosmetics, ranging from popular to new brands. Did I mention they have different payment options? You guys know that many here in our country are still comfortable paying cash instead of credit/debit cards. You can pay through credit card, Paypal, convenience stores, over the counter (OTC) banks, online bank and cash on delivery (COD) in selected areas. Since I really like my past order from them, I applied to become one of their ambassadors last month. I’m very thankful and I didn’t expect to be selected. Here’s what I got:

Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Set

IMG_20180804_093051

They teamed up with Get It Beauty to create 2-in-1 cleanser packs. That’s new in my skin care vocabulary. There are two variants; Rose and Green Tea. Rose is for balancing out skin’s moisture while Green Tea is for soothing. How to use? Apply on dry skin while massaging then rinse with water. They have subtle foam than can be easily washed off. Since they have real bits of rose and green tea, there might be a slight color change.

Bag, mirror and pouch

I planned to change my makeup bag and their pouch just came right on time. There’s also a cloth bag included which I’m planning to use daily or as a shopping bag. The mirror is probably one of my favorites. It has a small handle that makes applying makeup easier.

HAUL

It’s My Angle Foundation Brush
I’ve never had a makeup brush before. This brush was in my wish list. It’s the perfect opportunity to get it. I chose this mainly because I can buff or just simply swipe the foundation with it for a smooth finish. I’m still testing it and observing if there’s a change in the bristles after washing for a couple of times.

The Face Shop Ink Lasting Foundation Slim Fit in N203
I always have a hard time finding the right shade from drugstore brands. I decided to give k-foundations a try again. I chose the darkest shade which is N203. I based the shades from Youtube reviews rather than looking at their photo swatches. It was a bit dark on me when I first swatched it but made it work. Click here for full review.

Tony Moly Delight Tony Tint in 01 Cherry
I already reviewed their Tony Tint last 2012. That one is watery, sets quickly and pigmented. While Delight Tony Tint has a gel consistency and gives subtle color. I just picked this for my sister because she’s obsessed with tints lately.

Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer 2017 Edition
Aritaum released a new version of their bestselling liquid concealer last year. I reviewed the old version which you can read here. This one’s in a 5g tube with wand applicator. I havent fully tested its strength yet but so far I’m liking it. Full review and coverage test soon!

Royal Skin 24K Gold Snail Soothing Gel
I’m still searching for a moisturizer. I miss using snail products so I picked this soothing gel. I looked for the ingredients and it contains alcohol and fragrance. If ever I’ll use this on the face, I’ll just avoid the areas prone to contact dermatitis. Of course, there will be a full review on this as well.

Have you tried any of these products? Which one got you interested? 🤔

Good evening readers. It’s time for a makeup review. Now, you might be wondering why I got it in a small container. This is a repackaged version that I got from Korean Cosmetics-Philippines. Sellers are repackaging products so people could try them and see if it will work out before buying the full size.

Anyway let’s proceed. I got the Natural Beige 02. It’s darker than my skin right after applying it but it does blend afterwards especially with my powder foundation.

What is it:
Soft texture: Easy to apply. Perfect covering. Containing Rosehip fruit extracts: Moisturizing

Swatches
Covering my dark circles

Covering my dark spots from chickenpox

Pros:
– Full size (25 ml) will last for months
– Little goes a long way
– Thick consistency, close to pot/cream concealers
– Satin finish
– Long lasting
– Can be used as highlighter
– Great for covering redness
– Provides great coverage for dark circles
– Buildable coverage for dark spots & imperfections

Cons:
– Comes in 2 shades only
– Can settle in creases
– Can accentuate dry areas

The cons depend on your skin condition and how you apply it. I used this concealer in the morning and my eye area still looks lively. It has satin finish that can still give you subtle glow. 🙂

Overall, I like this concealer. It does its job pretty well and met my expectations. It provides the coverage that I want. I recommend this to those who are looking for a reasonably priced concealer. Just make sure your skin is well moisturized. 🙂

Review: Aritaum Full Cover BB Cream + Korean Cosmetics-Philippines Giveaway

Review: Aritaum Full Cover BB Cream + Korean Cosmetics-Philippines Giveaway

Good afternoon readers! It’s time for a bb cream review. This is my second bb cream for this year. It’s in 01 light beige. Aritaum became really popular last year because of their Full Cover range. Which includes this item and the liquid concealer. 🙂

This was sent to me by Korean Cosmetics-Philippines. Oh btw, they have an on going local giveaway (click here). They’ll be picking two winners and will receive Aritaum Full Cover BB cream in natural beige and Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream. Be sure to like their page on Facebook and follow the giveaway mechanics. 🙂 ❤️

Now let’s proceed to reviewing this item, shall we? 🙂

Before and after photos (BB cream alone, no setting powder or foundation)
First: This bb cream covered my deep hyperpigmentation when dabbed thrice.
Second: It covered my chickenpox scar when dabbed twice or thrice
Third: It covered my dark circle when applied once

image

Pros:

  • 50 ml is a big size that could last for months
  • The bb cream’s consistency is not thick and not too liquidy
  • SPF 50 + PA++ will protect you from the sun
  • Little goes a long way
  • Satin finish just like a normal skin
  • Still gives you that glow but not to the point you’re too oily
  • Lasts for a whole day for me
  • Did not cause breakouts
  • Provides great coverage although it’s consistency is not thick at all
  • Works well on red spots

Cons:

  • Available in 2 shades only (light and natural beige)

Note this bb cream is not completely removed by water so be sure to thoroughly cleanse your face after a long day. Use cleansing tissues or better if cleansing oil before washing your face with foam cleanser then toner.

Overall, I like this bb cream because of its coverage. I think it works as a concealer too if you dont have much flaws. You can put translucent powder to set it. If you want more coverage like me, put powder foundation on top of it. 🙂 ❤️

What’s your current bb cream? Let us know. 😉

Special thanks to Ms. Karla of Korean Cosmetics-Philippines for the opportunity 🙂
