What’s in my makeup bag? Hmm. I’ve never posted one before because there’s not much to see. These are basically the only makeup I own. I switch them depending on my mood for my daily routine. I also gave short reviews below. Let’s start~

FACE

Pink Sugar Our Lil Secret Concealer in 01
I tried the 02 shade. It matched my skin but it turned dark after a few hours. I switched to the lightest shade. It has medium coverage. It’s matte and long-lasting on my oily skin. It’s 13 ml for 299 pesos. Such a steal. The downside is it can accentuate pores. That’s the problem with water-based foundations and concealers. Full review here

The Face Shop Lovely Me:Ex Concealer Stick
I like to use this on my undereye area. It instantly brightens up the skin without the flashbacks. I’m going to try their best selling Dual Veil Concealer once I used this all up. Full review here

Maybelline Clear Smooth All in One Foundation
I’m using this for almost 4 years now. I use this to set my makeup. It’s super matte and gives additional coverage. It’s so affordable. There’s P99, P169 and P240+. Full review here. Full review here

EYES & BROWS

Etude House Monolid Eyelash Curler
It’s a gift from my sister. She chose this rose gold/copper-y color which we all know is the trademark colors of beauty v/bloggers😂. She said it’s way cuter than the silver one. I agree with her. It does the job for curling all lashes. Yaaay no more struggles for monolid peeps like me!!!😅

The Face Shop Freshian Big Mascara
Another gift from my sis. I’m spoiled. Hahaha. It lasts all day without giving me the panda look. Of course, it’ll smudge if you rub your lids. The brush separates the lashes really well. No clumps, just natural finish

E.L.F. Professional Eyebrow Pencil
This is a double-ended pencil. Little goes a long way since it’s wax. There’s also a concealer/highlighter to clean up any mess. Its cap has sharpener. I dont do it everyday. I look like Mona Lisa. Haha. I’m trying to grow and shape them in arch. I learned that straight brows are not for me. It makes my forehead larger. I have diamond-shaped face and big forehead. LIPS

The Face Shop Black Label Lipstick in 11
My favorite lipstick shade for events, work and job interviews. It has satin finish. I like that it’s moisturizing. I can feel that it hydrates, no chapped lips! Full review here

Tony Moly Easy Touch Auto Lip Liner in 02
It doesnt feel sticky. It’s lightweight. The finish is matte but it has some glitters. It feels like I didnt put anything unlike the heavy feeling while using lipstick. This is not the most affordable lip liner out there. But the brush tip makes it easier for the product to even it out and control the color intensity. Full review here

Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick
This is a peachy shade. I like it because it brightens up and changes the look for everyday makeup. It’s also perfect for summer. It’s matte and lasts long. It’s affordable and best of all, cruelty free! Wet n Wild has wide range of colors.

Me Now Kissproof Lipstick
It’s so matte and lasts all day for me. No sticky feeling. The only downside is it needs to be sharpened. Ugggh that’s too much work for me. Haha. I think this collection has 17 shades. That’s a lot! All colors are trendy. You can choose from nudes and reds.

I’m planning to collect lipsticks but I’ll definitely get drugstore brands only. The challenge is, I want them all to be cruelty-free. Probably my collection will have Wet N Wild, L.A. Girl, Milani, Nyx, ELF, Human Nature and Pink Sugar.

Slowly making progress until I change all the products in my routines to cruelty-free. Minimize animal testing starting from making small changes.

I have self control now. I’ll only buy a product if the one I’m using is about to run out. Except for skin care. That’s a different thing of course. I’m obsessed with that. Haha!

I’m practicing on winged liner. I’m still not good at it. This product removes eyeliner quickly without pulling the skin. I’m still young and avoiding wrinkles.

MAKEUP

E.L.F Eyebrow Lifter and Filler
I started to use this last month. It’s so easy to use. If you want instant defined brows, this is the product for you

PINK SUGAR Our Lil Secret Concealer
I ran out of my Tony Moly Face Mix Cover Pot Concealer. I started to use this and so far I’m liking it. Review coming soon!

BODY CARE

RUCY’S VANITY Whitening Body Lotion – Acacia
I take shower 2-3 times daily as for someone with O.C.D. My skin’s feeling dry and lotions help to bring back moisture. I realized I’m reaching more for this product since last month. I want to finish all the lotions I have. I like fruity scents lately and this one has that.

LUSH Red Fun
Soap in a clay form. It says on the label that it can be used as a soap, shampoo and you can even wash your clothes with it. Red Fun smells like cherry/strawberry bubblegum. It’s appealing to kids because it’s like a clay and you can mold it into shapes while taking a bath. I was curious about it. I finally got one in Santa’s Belly gift set.

Is it weird to include a list of people & makeup artists in my favorites? Lately, I’m binge watching their videos. They’re best friends in real life. Their collabs are so funny and I enjoy watching them together. Yes, I watch all their videos from favorites, tutorials and vlogs. Their makeup skills are 100% on point!

Review + Swatches: E.L.F. Eyebrow Lifter and Filler in Ivory/Light

When it comes to cruelty-free cosmetics, the first thing that comes to my mind is E.L.F. Cosmetics. I was actually looking for cruelty free brands in the department store where I bought this item. I think I only found 2 brands I’m 100% sure of.

I asked the SA if they have eyebrow pencil just like those retractable ones. She only showed this item. It’s definitely not retractable. My anxiety attacked so I didn’t bother to look at their kiosk. I just grabbed it then paid at the counter.😓

DESCRIPTION:
Create polished and defined brows for a flawless fuller look! The ‘lift’ pencil’s sheer light-reflecting pigments act as an arch support under the brows to enhance and outline the shape for a more youthful and awakened look. While the ‘fill’ pencil shades in the eyebrow to blend in the natural shape, fill in any sparse areas and define the lines

INGREDIENTS:

SWATCHES:

PROS:
-Cruelty-free
-Multifunction, I think the lifter can be used as concealer too.
-Easy to use
-Brow pencil glides easily & smoothly
-Brow pencil is easy to blend
-“Lifter” cleans up any mess/mistake on the sides
-Did not cause breakouts

CONS:
-Quite expensive for me, for a brow product Php 259.75 ($5.50)
-The “lifter” is not as smooth as the brow pencil. Its consistency reminds me of stick concealers.
-Limited shades (SA only showed 3 colors)
-Needs to be sharpened

BEFORE & AFTER:

It’s easy to work with. The brow pencil is so smooth. It glides easily. I can line my brow the way I want to. The lifter works well with it as it creates clean/crisp edges for the brows. It has the same consistency of stick concealer. I’m guessing you can use it for that purpose too.

This is not waterproof that’s why it’s easy to remove if you’ve made a mistake. But, it lasts all day long for me even if I’m oily and sweaty. The downside is it needs to be sharpened. Good thing it comes with a sharpener. The SA showed 3 shades only; one that’s super duper black, mine which is soft dark gray and one that’s light brown. You need to swatch it first.

I’m not a makeup junkee but I really like this one. It was just an impulse buy last month and now I’m glad I bought it.😊

December 2015 Haul

It’s my last haul for this year! I cant believe it. My sister’s Christmas gift for me was cash. She said I should buy whatever I want. She’s so generous and clingy. Hahaha. I didn’t want to spend it all so here’s a little haul for you guys. 🙂

PINK SUGAR Our Lil Secret Concealer – P299 ($6)
I finally bought this although I’m worried that it has BHA in it. I got Light Beige which is the second lightest shade. It’s for warm tone / yellowish skin tone like mine.

E.L.F Eyebrow Lifter and Filler – P249
($5)
This is my first impulse buy. I said I just want a regular eyebrow pencil but the S.A. only gave this to me. My social anxiety attacked. I’m not fond of talking to SAs. I just bought it so I could get out a.s.a.p.

LUSH Reindeer Rock soap – P245 /100g
Impulse buy because most of the stuff I wanted at Lush is out of stock. This is a limited edition soap. It’s only available for Christmas. I couldn’t wait for their sale in January 2016. This soap will be at 50% off during the sale. I might get some holiday items and essentials next month.

LUSH Charity Pot Hand & Body Lotion – P495 ($10)
Another impulse buy but it’s worth it. The full price of this except the VAT will go to CARA, a non-profit organization for animals. I really wanted to get the Comfort and Joy gift set. They don’t sell it because the items in it are incomplete. They dont have Twilight shower gel which is the reason why I’m buying that gift set.

MAYBELLINE Clear Smooth All in One Shine Free Foundation – P99 ($2)
Whew that was a long name! There’s no available shade aside from Nude Beige. I finally found the perfect shade for my skin! I was using Natural 03 before and it looks darker on me.

That’s it. Please let me know if you’ve try any of these items. I’m almost done with the products in my skin care routine. I’ll do another haul next month. It’s either pure Lush haul or mix of my favorite skin care products.:)

ELF Lip Stain review

Good evening ladies! I just got home from the mall. I’m a bit tired…. And I’m back to review another affordable makeup. 🙂

I was supposed to buy Etude House’s lip tint. I passed by ELF’s kiosk few weeks ago. ELF’s lip stain container looks interesting. I think Revlon and Covergirl have this kind of lip product.

The container looks like a pen. It feels awkward when I apply this at a public place because people might think I’m using pentel pen for my lips. lol. :))

There are three shades to choose from. I bought the darkest shade. It dries quickly so you have to be an expert even during the first application. @___@

Before (my bare lips): look at those pale lips. hahaha.

December 2012 Haul

I’m sad and at the same time afraid to tell everyone…. I think my skin got used/immune to my regimen.. Lush Fresh Farmacy, Celeteque toner and products with snail slime. Snail products prevented my breakouts before but now…. 😦

Or is it just my wrong diet and stress? I think those are the main causes of my recent breakout. 😦

This is my first ever haul post. I bought a lot of products this month. Most of them are skincare products. Clear and acne free skin is the key to beautiful makeup.

So here they are~

They are anti-acne and some have whitening ingredients too.

I’ll review all the skincare products soon. I have to try each one of them for a long time since skincare products takes a lot of time to see some effects.

ELF All Over Cover Stick review

I was searching for a concealer. I found this one. I thought ELF cosmetics were expensive coz I never bought products from them. 😀 But I was wrong, this is really affordable! It costs 129 pesos only! 🙂

Ingredients:

Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Ceresin Wax, Synthetic Beeswax, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Microcrystalline Wax, Cetyl Alcohol, Methlyparaben, Microcrystalline Wax, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides (CI 77491 , CI 77492 , CI 77499), Red No.27 Lake (CI 45410), Red No.40 Lake (CI 16035)

Packaging: Sorry the text is fading already. -____- The packaging looks cheap but I don’t mind. You have to twist it so that you can get the product. 🙂

The shade: This is the lightest shade that they got at SM Makati. They dont have stocks for other colors. It has a citrus smell.

When blended: My mole got lighter. hehe. 🙂

Pros:

• affordable
• light weight
• light to medium coverage. It can be heavy coverage too depending on how much you apply.
• very affordable! 🙂
• creamy

Cons:

• The shade is too light for me. They don’t have a lot of colors to choose from at SM Makati. 😦
• Might be patchy for dry skin.
• With paraben. 😦

Overall this is good for me!  I just have to find the perfect shade for me.  @___@

I guess I have a new addiction! I will surely buy other products form ELF since they have reasonable prices! 🙂
